No post today, but I would like to say a big thanks to all PS readers for a wonderful year.
This year the Symposium went from strength to strength, with talks in Tokyo, Hong Kong and New York.
We had our biggest readership totals ever, with yearly readers topping 1 million for the first time - and monthly hits above 600k, also for the first time.
Our sixth book came out - The Sartorial Travel Guide - and the readers special edition sold out in days.
And most importantly over 150 articles were read, shared and commented upon, and seemed to create value for everyone.
Have a wonderful holiday, and try not to buy too much in the sales.

Merry Christmas to you as well, Simon.
(Speaking of the sales, and inspired by the picture, does anyone have a lead on a decent RTW dinner jacket?)
Have a great Christmas Simon and a wonderful 2020.

Dear Simon,
A very Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! And thank you for the wonderful posts — elegantly written and presented, and full of insights and useful suggestions!
Hi Simon,
Just adding to what I assume are the many who congratulated you on a superb set of opinions, taste pointers, and generally above average suggestions.
Unfortunately, because of mobility issues, I’m unable to travel to the extent I’d like, but it’s chaps such as yourself that enable me to keep my finger on the pulse and maintain my love of interesting and decent clothing.
If I could ask your indulgence on one clothing matter. For some time I’ve been interested in what I think are referred to as M-65 jackets or similar style configurations. Could you advise me where I might find the best selection of this type of military jacket, it would be greatly appreciated if at all possible Simon, many thanks.
Alf
Hi Alf,
No problem. Personally I think the best examples are vintage, and they’re quite widely available. I don’t know how much your mobility restricts this, but might I suggest you check out a local vintage shop?
Otherwise among new versions, the Real McCoy’s is also a good option, though expensive
Merry Christmas, Simon.
Best wishes for the new year for your and your loved ones.
Merry Christmas to you as well, Simon. I look forward to poring over PS in the coming year.
Thank you Jake
Congrats on a great year, and all the best for 2022. Also I really love your look in this post’s photo.
Thanks Edward
