Unusually, I will be at Pitti this week, before going onto Milan. (I normally only go in the winter – unless you’re a buyer there’s little point going more often.) There will be a few images of both trips on Instagram for those that are interested: instagram.com/permanentstylelondon.
And if there are any photos of me I’m not posing, just being polite – honest.

Hi Simon
Shoes are Edward Green or your G&G bespoke?
Good spot! You’re right, they’re the G&Gs. My memory is failing me
Simon. Question. Why do you have such a small wrap on your jackets?
B
Bigger opening for the tie, mostly
Did you actually tell Anderson & Sheppard you wanted less wrap on your jacket? I prefer my jackets with less wrap, but mostly because I find it more slimming.
It was a little bit trial and error, but yes. I’m fairly slim and tall, so I usually need bulk if anything, but it can certainly be slimming
Simon, how does a flannel suit acquit itself in the Milanese heat?
That was a photo from January…
Simon. Thought you and your readers would be interested in the fact, following your page on Percy Crowe I’ve just collected this morning a very smart blue hopsack suit.
Thanks for the heads up.
Your right Mark is a very knowledgable and personable guy ..

I’m enjoying the updates on Instagram. Keep them coming please!
