In Paris this week, seeing all the Cs – Cifonelli, Camps de Luca, Corthay, Charvet, plus a few new faces. Look out for an exclusive peep behind the doors of the Arnys tailoring atelier too, now of course owned by Berluti.
On a beautifully sunny winter’s day, above are grey flannels from Anderson & Sheppard, worn with old Lodger alligator shoes and – just peeking through – my favourite Palatino green socks.
What happened to Lodger? Cant seem to get onto their website
They went out of business a couple of years ago. Bought by Lutwyche, which still carries some of the shoe designs but hardly any. Nate Brown, the founder, made the obvious switch into Mongolian tin mines
Good form from him!
sounds like a serial entrepreneur .. good for him. wonder what he’s doing, exploration?
Where do you get Palatino socks, please? I used to buy them in a little classy shop here in Madrid, now closed…
Thanks and best regards.
The Hanger Project has them
Thank you.
Charvet, finally! Very excited for the interview Simon, especially want to hear about their shirt fabric vault…
Regards
Simon, I have a pair of Lodgers that came with some Lodger labled shoe polish. I am really liking the polish, and prefer it to Saphir.
Do you perhaps know who produced this polish for Lodger?
