Next Wednesday, June 26th, we will be launching a collaboration with John Smedley: a unique design that I believe is the perfect sartorial sweater.
One or two people commented to me that the last collaboration with La Portegna, which sold out in 24 hours, came a little out of the blue. So here’s your warning. Look out for the details next Wednesday.
(For those interested in casual outfits, the sweater is worn here with heavy linen trousers from Arnys and a T-shirt from Sunspel. Perhaps a nice casual/formal crossover, depending on your preferences and work environment.)

Looks interesting.
I wonder if this sweater will have a shape that fit a portly guy like me?
What watch do you wear on the picture
Jonas E
It’s actually been spurred by the fact that Smedley designs are often too large in the body – but I’ll mention your alternative in the post.
It’s an IWC Portuguese chronograph. I have two watches, that and a Cartier tank. For casual and dress
Ah yes, interested definitely, I’m hoping for a slimmer body, as their ‘relaxed fit’ is simply baggy in my opinion.

Tom
Simon,
Will you be attending Pitti as you did earlier in the year?
No, I normally only go in the winter Jerrell.
It’s of most use for me to catch up with the various European brands I have visited at their factories over the years. It’s not set up for journalists. And it tends to be better in the winter.
Thanks for the tip on John Smedley. My two cardigans arrived today. The best knitwear I’ve ever bought. Will come in handy through this Sydney winter.
