A Stefano Bemer bespoke solePlease remember, loyal readers, that I am now writing every week – indeed, twice a week – for The Rake online, which is expanding into a great source for international artisanal articles.
Recently we have had posts on:
– Lorenzo Villoresi, my favourite perfumer
– Stefano Bemer, a wonderful Florentine bespoke shoemaker
– Gaziano & Girling bespoke
– Naples tailor Elia Caliendo
– and, Cifonelli’s yak coats
I hope you like them.

Is the print version about to be discontinued? (As a subscriber, I hope not!!)
Will your Rake Online posts ultimately see the printed page?
Is a separate online subscription necessary?
Thanks.
No John, the print version is alive and well, indeed expanding into Korea and China. Some of my Rake online posts will go into the mag as well, but there is no online subscription – you can see those stories for free
unfortunate that the rake chose david lauren for the cover, and as an “american innovator” no less. his father with the changed surname and history as a tie salesman, if anything, is a “british copycat”
Are those articles no longer online?
I’m afraid not, though some were published on Permanent Style too, and the same topics are certainly covered on here
